For a softer look, use a light amount and gently diffuse the edge with a clean fingertip. For a defined look, work more deliberately along your natural lip line and build coverage where needed. Follow the product’s own application directions, particularly with a stain, rather than treating every formula like a balm.
Keep the rest of your routine familiar while you decide how you like the color. The first outing does not need to be an event. A normal afternoon is a perfectly respectable place to discover that a plum lip belongs in your rotation.
